Last updated: October 6, 2026. This policy states clearly what CoverCraft’s AI writing tools may and may not be used for. Using the service means you accept these rules.
1. Permitted uses
- Generating personal cover letters and other job-application materials for your own job search.
- Editing or improving documents you already own, such as your own resume or existing cover letters.
- Using the free tier and Pro tier within the stated usage limits for lawful, personal purposes.
- Sharing a generated letter with employers as part of a genuine job application.
2. Prohibited uses
- Generating fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading content — including fabricated achievements, invented employers, fake references, or impersonating another person.
- Using the service for spam, phishing, scams, unsolicited bulk messaging, or any illegal activity.
- Submitting content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, or sexually explicit.
- Using the service to create content that violates any employer, academic, or platform policy — for example, submitting AI-generated essays where they are prohibited.
- Attempting to bypass usage limits, share or resell access, scrape the service, reverse-engineer it, or interfere with its operation.
- Using outputs commercially to build or resell a competing product without our written permission.
3. AI output and your responsibility
Letters are generated by artificial intelligence. You are responsible for reviewing every output before use: verify all facts, replace anything uncertain with your own real information, and never send content you know to be false. You are solely responsible for anything you submit to or send using the service.
4. Consequences of violation
We may suspend or permanently block access to the service, without notice, if we reasonably believe these rules have been violated. We may also cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
